Hi, I am Andy Sykes, the
site creator. I have undergone many crockery tragedies recently and
I want you to share yours with me. You can contact me in a number
of ways
- E-mail me at pjboysyko@yahoo.co.uk
- You can send the crockery itself to this
address:
C/O Tony Eve
ATTN Andrew Sykes
Interactive Arts
Faculty of Art and Design
Manchester Metropolitan University
Grosvenor Building
Cavendish Street

- If you study or work in the Art dept of
Manchester Metropolitan University, you can give it to me in person
(look for me in the Interactive Arts Studio)

| You can
send me photographs of broken, beloved crockery for me to mend digitally
(make sure that you get all the pieces in shot so that I can do this).
You can also send written accounts of how the crockery was broken,
drawings, music inspired by the loss, or anything else that you can
think of that is related to a crockery loss that you have had. You
can send the broken piece of crockery itself and I will attempt to
mend it with 'special glue'. I will then photograph the pieces and
put them on the website. Unfortunately, I will not be able to return
mended crockery through the post. This because the operation might
well become very costly and complex if I were to get many international
contributions. I also cannot take responsibility for loss or further
breakages in the post. I am hoping that people's contributions may
help others to overcome the trauma and come to terms with their own
crockery losses. I can put all the crockery stories that I receive
together with pictures of each item before and after mending in the
Mended Crockery Section. People
can come to look and realise that they are not the only ones suffering. |
